Created in 2019, The Nature Library began as a roving collection of books popping up in public spaces across Scotland including Glasgow, Ayr, Dunbar, Ullapool, Moniaive, Edinburgh and more.

With stories of conservation and climate justice, memoir and essays, fiction, field guides, sci-fi, poetry and many things in between, the library shares stories which put the endless wonders and curiosities of the natural world on the page at a time when it needs our attention the most.

The Nature Library will open its first permanent premises in spring 2024 in Irvine, Ayrshire.
